Kelli Gant
Kelli
Gant is the managing partner of Tangella Corporation. With twenty years
of high-tech experience and fifteen years of manager/director background,
Kelli provides project management, consulting, and hands-on involvement
for all client projects.
Kelli
started in the high-tech industry in 1981 using early releases of UNIX.
Since then, she has authored and managed the development of numerous online
help systems, product manuals, training material, and technical whitepapers
for UNIX and Windows applications. She has managed the localization of
documentation into European and Asia languages, as well as developed a
software localization plan. As a manager and director, Kelli has built
the technical publication departments for three software development companies.
As
a certified instructor for the Philip Crosby Quality Improvement Process,
she has taught 10-week improvement courses and managed the implementation
of a corporate "zero defect" program. This process improvement
plan focuses on developing written procedures and processes that ensure
100% compliance to customer requirements, on time, and within budget.
Kelli
taught technical manual writing at the Webster Institute for two years.
Many of her students went on to get full-time writing jobs.
Kelli
was a senior member of the Society of Technical Communication, San Francisco
chapter. She served as the international manager for the Marketing Special
Interest Group for three years. STC is the world’s largest organization
that is dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of technical communication.
Kelli
has a B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California and
minor degrees in Computer Studies and Management.
